George Higby Higbee was Born about 1750. Tradition has it that three Higbee/Higby brothers came to America as carpenters. One of these brothers while working as a hostler in England for Lord Mulford Brackett fell in love with the Lord's daughter. The brother is not known. The other two brothers continued their work at sea and brought many presents home from the West Indies and presented these presents to the other brothers wife. One of these brothers quarreled with the other two brothers & changed his name to Higday so his name would not be the same as his brothers. That is how the Higday name originated. If your surname is Higday then you are related somehow to the other Higday's. Whether it be a cousin, Aunt, Uncle etc. This Album is for Descendants of George Higday Born abt 1750.
