This was Donated by by Cheryl Webber/The Terry Girls Genealogy.
Goddard Seminary was originally named Green Mountain Central Institute, founded in 1863 and located in Barre, Vermont. It was renamed Goddard Seminary in November 1870, honoring one of its primary benefactors, Thomas Goddard. The seminary closed in 1938 and its buildings were subsequently razed.
The Goddard College, which considers itself the Seminary's "spiritual heir", reopened in nearby Plainfield, Vermont and was in operation until its closure in 2024. The original seminary building was replaced by the Barre Municipal Auditorium
