Max Delano Hill was born June 13, 1892 in either Sheridan or Cherry County NE to John W. Hill and Sarah Fisher Hill. He had an older sister and brother, Eva Hill Dunbar W.E. “Eddie” Hill.
Max was married to a Martha Bettelyoun, a Native American from the Oglala Sioux tribe in South Dakota. Some accounts show they had 9 children, one of them being Kenneth Hill.
Max’s sister Eva married a William Dunbar, and had Nile Dunbar among their children
J.W. Hill’s wife Sarah was born about 1854 in Indiana to David Fisher (b. 1828) and Elizabeth Biddle Fisher (b. 1835)...the photo identified as “Grandpa and Grandma Fisher” is possibly them.
