Jay Morrell Vick was Born on 7 September 1899 & He died on 8 August 1960. SGT Jay Morrell Vick is Buried at Hills of Rest Memorial Park in Sioux Falls, Minnehaha County, South Dakota. My grandfather (Jay Morrell Vick) served in the Army, Company M, 2nd Infantry. It appears he served from 28 June 1916 to 11 February 1919. I have a copy of a letter written by my Grandfather saying "I enlisted in Co. M. 2nd Minnesota National Guard in June 1916, served on the Mexican Border until January 1917 and then at Camp Cody, New Mexico in the same Company, but then designated the 136th Infantry, 34th Division later in France, our Division was broken up and I was assigned to Co, M. 330th Infantry, 83rd Division. I was discharged at Camp Owen Bierne, Texas on 11 February 1919."
