NOTE: Camp Comfort itself was one of the very first roadhouses out of Valdez on the Old Valdez-Fairbanks Trail and was known for being a very hospitable and welcoming place for travelers to rest, boasting a two-story cabin, a large barn, live-stock, a large garden, and two well-loved kitties. The Richards family were proprietors of Camp Comfort in the early 1900s
